Photo Tip: Ask Why?

When out taking pictures, ask yourself “Why do I want to take this photo of ______?” It may be as simple as “It looks pretty,” but try to pinpoint exactly what made you want to pull out your camera. It may have been the detail in the leaf you saw, or the amazing colors in that sunset. Whatever it may be, try to emphasize that in your photo.
By focusing on what caught your eye to take the photo in the first place, you will see an overall improvement in your photography.
